Question about NEXTEL?

Well i have a friend here at work that is always on LS2.com and he saw a thread that said that NEXTEL is going to shutdown and when the do, you will require you to pay the de-activation fee! I have only been with them for about 5 months now and i have a 2 year contract! :mad:

If its true then it would be bullsh** that we would have to pay for their mistakes? I was just wondering if any NEXTEL users here know anything about this situation! :Bullshit

If Nextel is shutting down, they can't hold you liable for the remainder of your contract. Now if they have sold you to another carrier, you will still have to honor your contract as long as they offer you the same service you purchased.

My understanding is that Sprint will operate their network and slowly port it over. In other words, Sprint bought them out and will now run their network into the ground :)
