I'll try and answer some questions: Alignment shop has a drive up lift that is flush with the floor. My 2003 is lowered with a "super c-notch", lowered upper and lower control arms with springs and a rear flip kit with stock shackles (stock shackles give an extra inch lower, or so). Lowering shocks and stuff... I had to us some shims. I had the whole underside of the bed and the back of the cab sprayed a few times with some rubberized bed coating. Frame was also cleaned and painted. What a pain in the ***!!! Don't recommend unless you have a very powerful pressure washer or sand blast. The ride feels like a caddy and handles like a vette. Love the drop. I would like to go back to stock springs and add spindles with the lowering upper and lower control arms. It would be perfect with some bigger 'shoes'!!!

stock shackles arent anything special.. they are the same as a regular f150

Correct, but the flip kit comes with shorter shackles and if you use the stock one then it lowers the truck more.
