Who is planning on making the trip? I assume the regulars, Mike Barksdale, Dennis, T Hogg?, Mark K, Doug? If there is a serious interest I will offer to haul the trailer down there for team support:tu: . Post it up.

L8 APEX
04-23-2006, 11:05 PM
I will plan on bringing the trailer, 3500W generator, fan and 10x10' popup shade. If others want to bring a power strip, ext cords, fans, battery chargers etc they can use my generator. If enough folks want race fuel I may cart some down there. If I get my atv back I may bring it as a pit bike or for pulling trucks around.
Wes, if Tina wants to come bring it, she is good company.

I'm good for some race fuel, but if I need to pick it up before we head down (so you can leave it at the shop) just let me know. I'll bring the ice chest full of drinks, along with chairs. I can bring the big radio too.

Well it is 11pm and we been drinking a little bit after a long hard day in the rain, sun, and other ****. Rocks truck never got tuned due to PSI's dyno being broken so he is going home tonight. Mike Barksdale is the only TALON racer/customer representing down here. It is a little sad just having one member down here to support. Anyway, he gets my undevided attention with tuning and truck setup. It rained this morning until about 11am and Rocks invited some real FFW tools into my trailer during the rain storm! Of course he slipped out and left his goony friends behind. We had Waffle House for breakfast that we pretty much the highlight of my day. Oh yeah Mike pulled another 000 perfect light as usual. This is the summary of TALON's turnout...

I haven't seen any just a turbo Mustang catching fire off the line from brake boosting too long. The other guy took more than 15 seconds to trip the stage lights but they didn't call him on it:rolleyes: . There are less than 20 gen2's and only 1 gen1 out here it is a pretty grim turnout for trucks... Ford is not offering a truck for first this year. The weather is beautiful in general in the 80's with a light breeze. later folks.

The PSI dyno failure took out about three of us from competition. I should be good to go by LA.

Believe it or not.....20-24 trucks has become a good turnout in the past couple years. We had an event in Ohio a couple years back with 16 trucks. The class is eventually going to expand to include a wider variation of truck configurations...IMHO.

I just talked to Don on the phone. He told me they decided to throw out the ladder due to so many competition byes. I really get irritated when they make last second rule changes like that. If they had gone by the ladder, you wouldn't have had to race last years champ in the first round.

Sorry to hear it didn't go so well for you.

I was at FFW sunday and saw a pretty sad thing, a lighting was in either the final or semifinal of bracket racing, takes off and the other car he was racing messed up and coasted down the track and the lightning ends up breaking out and giving the race away:throw: . what i want to know is how he got lucky enought to make it as far as he did. On a positive note the white lightning running 10's was pretty impresive.

also L8 APEX, that chick was by no means hot(sorry if thats one of you guys old ladies) I saw her walking around, but they did have some chick with a pink tank top and a short, short blue jean skirt with some DD's that was breath taking:bows
