Ok guys its time for another south arlington hooters meet.. Lets get to hooters around 430-5 get some wings, free beer and then head out to kennedale for some racing....:tu:
For the new guys this is the hooters off the green oaks and i20 service road...

Yea I know.. I used to always put these little sunday things together but kinda slacked on it since my truck was down....

But either way hooters is open rain or shine and its always good to hang out with some buds, drink free beer , eat some wings and look at the surroundings

he did have fun at the last meet i put together
ill go i need to get to know some of yall now that in the club i also want to go to the monthly meetings so i can see all the bad ass L's yall got

I'll be there...if its not raining. I just got my lightning back out of the shop. Thats twice in two weeks. First it was the blowin head gasket and trans. They fixed the Valve cover gasket instead of haed gasket after realizing they are retard, and then said my transmission was fine. Second time in the shop for flashing o/d light and check engine light. Which ended up being some wiring harness melted the exhaust manifold. Now they say it is fixed. It seems ok now, we will see.

samething happened to mine with the wiring harness, i dont know why i didnt think about it at the track that day when you told me what you truck was doing:hammer: , i just pulled it up off the pipe and ziptied it off ran like a champ ever since:banana:

Alrite cool. Mine seems to be running great now. Hopefully I will see ya'll on sunday. I don't know though, I came home from work today sick as a hell.

OF for the new guys. we park on the other side of the closed mexican resturant.. Theres a nice open area... I try and be the first there....

JCBlack had a nice shine going on his L. I didn't even notice it when I took the picture, but it looks great! My white will never shine like that, but I still like it a ton.

I had alot of fun. Even though I was scared at first about transmission. I got over that though. We need to get together more often and do this kinda stuff.

Good to see everyone....Hooters was good besides the AC dripping on my head :) Can't beat the free beer however :beer:
Had a good time at the track, truck ran good but chances of hooking up were nada.....I was doing my best impression of this :burnout:until about the 330' mark.
I'm pissed at Brandt for f'ing up my slick wheels, giving me the wrong bolt pattern apparently, so I had to run on my street tires(drag radials). My 60's were 2.1, I think I hit one 2.0. I usually hit high 1.6's and 1.7's on slicks
So my times were pretty consistent at 8.0, and I hit several 7.9's at 92-93mph.
Gonna be calling Brandt tomorrow :hammer:

Not really. I knew my 1/8 times weren't going to be that much better just because it's so hard for me to launch on street tires. My 60's were pretty horrible in the 2.3 range.
Still, it's a lotta fun. I'm going to start checking out Redline and may even go this weekend if I can talk my father-in-law into it since he'll be in town.

That and a lot more practices. This was only my 3rd time to any track and the spacing between trips is months.
Maybe I should practice my launches on the street. :evil

I talked to Brandt about the wheels and he said 5x5.5 right? I said, I think that's what I've got but should be 5 x135....doh:hammer:. He checked it out and he definitely got the wrong wheels. They're shipping them out and should be here tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be ready to get some sub 2.0 60's:rll::burnout:

theres a few on page 2... i didnt know my g/f had her digi cam or i would have taken pics... But heres one of the 2 she snapped. Other one is just me and david sitting in chairs on my tailgate
