I have 4' shackles on my 03 and all I did was turn the shims 180 degrees. I'm not sure about a year 2000. Dave

99-00 dosent have pinion shims from the factory... I have my 03 leafs, leaf taken out witch put me about close to where a 99-00 with 2 inch shackels would sit... i added 4 inch shakles to that and have had no issues... I had a slight vibration at highway speeds and played with the 03 shims and it did nothing...

I'm curious, as well. I'm running the 3" on the JLP 2/3/4 shackle on stock-leafs and she's still high.

I'm thinking that with that tall of a shackle that maybe a sway-bar and/or pan-hard is in order to tame any kind of sway under hard-cornering.

It's not sway I feel in hard cornering (and methinks I corner harder than most here), I can feel the axle going sideways a bit, kinda like a bit of rear-end steer, if that makes sense.

i know with just the 2 inch shackles my tends to want to get loose quicker in hard cornering, if i take a corner real fast im almost allways sideways when i come out of it

I still need to put my truck on a skidpad to be sure. I'm also not too sure how much "walking" mine is doing, since I boxed the shackles and stiffened them up considerably.

I think the biggest thing I need to know is: exactly what symptoms does one see/feel/hear when the pinion angle is off? I'm not getting anything conclusive anywhere.

Driveshaft vibration, harmonics, most lifted 4x4s have this feeling. Most people will not notice, but sometimes if you find a harmonic at like 70 then you will always notice it.

hm, ok. I need to drive it more, because I'm not able to separate the suspension vibrations from anything else yet.
