what do yall think about jlp new exhaust system?

i like it but dont think its worth much till your a high horsepower motor....just like most long tubes, etc...

they put it on a stock lightning along with a 6 pound lower and a cold air intake, it only made 11# of boost and put down 405rwhp and 518rwtq, not bad for the boost, but i think they want way too much money for it

Is it redesigned to work with the 58" traction bars? I remember seeing a picture a while back where it had a bend in the catback so that it wouldnt hit against the traction bars.

yager from nloc just installed it lastnight and there was no clearance issues at all with the 58inch bars, he said he even drove down the bumpiest road he could find and it was perfect

Fade, No problem we installed the system on a customers truck today. the truck has run the best of 10.3 @ 129 with a 1.41 60 ft! the dyno #'s were 685 rwhp 790 rwtrq!..we removed the dynatech/Bassani cat back and installed the JLP Competition Exhaust..I never did check the boost losehttp://www.nloc.net/vbforum/images/smilies/screwy.gif i just forgot!! it was getting late i simply put it on the dyno to check A/F's..the truck went real rich.. i leaned it up only too 11.2 and left it that way till we make some passes on the track..To my surprise the truck made 725 rwhp! 904 rwtrq!..No Joking at all! everybody's Jaw hit the floor including mine! This is 1 of the JLP trucks that will be @ the MM/FF shoot-out..All JLP trucks will have this new system on them including my 2002 Street Lightning with the new 2.6 KB! I can't wait to see my #'s with this and the 2.6 KB!..Keep us posted on your progress..Can you also let me know what maybe i can do to make this system easier to Install? let me know if you think we could have done something different to make the install easier..thanx JL
