Shift kit for Gen1

What is your reccomendation and about how much will it run? Want to to shift somewhat stockish, perhaps slightly firmer at cruise, and have a nice firm/quick shift while its wide open.

I would stay with a valve body kit like the gen2 uses. The kit is about 250 installed with trans service.
