I wanna clean my blower and intercooler, I just turned 60k and thought it would be good to do. If anyone wants to help it would be greatly appreicated. I will supply beer or whatever else as an incentive to help me not screw anything up too bad since it's my daily driver. :D  Thanks -Kyle

Well I don't know what I am doing but does not mean I will not try it. Do I need to know any torque specs? I am curious to see how bad I can mess this up. Hopefully it goes more smooth than my plug change. :hammer:

No worries Steve, I may wait till a later date. That buzz is starting to worry me lately though. It has been getting worse especially around 60+ under slight acceleration.

Thanks a lot Jason for the help! I did notice on the way home the boost was not as high as usual. At W.O.T. it will usually hit 15 with ease and sometimes 16 especially in this weather. On the trip home it seemed like it was struggling to hit 14. What could be the problem?

That's most likely true unless it feels like something is wrong. By cleaning you removed some restriction. Less restriction means less boost. It's actually a good thing because it means your pushing more air through the motor and probably means you will make a little more power.

For example, When you add headers or port your heads you loose a pound or 2 of boost, but you make more power.

Do you still have the buzz?

I think so it's not as bad though. I will get out today and cruise for a little bit and check it out. Everything seemed fine and it ran great.

I like your 50-gallon water-heater box workbench...

Good job. Looks familiar.

Think you can get a recording of the buzz??

Dunno if it will come up on a recording. I can try though and see what happens. I just want someone to hear it so I don't think I am crazy. I will try to make it to the event tomorrow.
