I have a one-piece pulley that I am selling to someone that has an 03. There was a question about fitment. I just bought a two-piece and it requires an adapter to work on my 99. I thought all lower pullies were interchangable. Am I right or do 99/00 pullies have a smaller inside diameter?

It been a while since I've done a pulley swap but I do remember something different on my 99 opposed to other years.

That's correct. 99/00 has a 2-1/4" hole and 01 up have 2-5/8"

So if you are putting a 01 + pulley on your L all you have to do is make sure its centered in the crank pulley. What i have done is take some painters tape and wrap it aroung the hub making sure not to over lap the ends. This pretty much is fool proof and makes it centered. Every pulley i have had came from a 01+ truck.
