I'm into the truck today and I decide it's time to change to the 6 lb. pulley, and while I'm at it, I'll just change out to the ported C&L upper. and change the plugs.

I got to the dreaded # 7 plug....... And it was not so bad. The I got to # 8. Holly frackin cheese and rice! What a PITA! Next time I'll just pay some one else to do it.

And on top of all that...... I noticed some play in the rotors. In an up and down motion. As if the bearings where bad! :flaming:

So now I'm debating on just continuing with the plan.... Or just buying BCLinghtning's Whipple. :santa2 Merry frackin X-mas to me.

Shoulda called. I been out trying to organize my garage all day so far. Just came in for a break...Its BS that its a 2.5 car garage that current fits 0 cars.

The problem is not getting them out.... It's getting to them. Even with the right tools. And putting them back is a real PITA! heres one clue. If it looks like its going to be in the way....... remove it. It's quicker. Well for me it is.

Chris...... Come on over. I'm still not done. I still have a little welding to do to. And putting on the pulley.

Ya should talk to Steve K. He had a 1/2 car garage and had it full and still got the truck in it. (his old apartment garage)

once you get used to it you'll get the plug change down to an hour or less:D

Same here! My first time w/ help was like 2 hours. At the rate its going for me w/ plugs, i might learn to do it really fast.

on the passenger side back one I always have to use two swivles

i realy dont use swivels... dont like them... i bought a tall ass spark plug socket and a long arse extension and thats all i realy use.. and a 7mm on a lil breaker bar. takes me about 30mins or so if all the egr crap and the vac lines and crap is all moved around.. since the motor build i moved alot of crap around to make it easier

Invest $80 in a set of MadEnterprise coil pack screws and you'll save at least 15 minutes off a plug change.

Hey chris.... Thanks for coming over and "helping" out.

The work payed off. During the road tune, on the last data log run it broke loose and got side ways on the 2nd to 3rd shift. And there was a good seat of the pants deferents. (besides me sucking up seat cushion during the fish tail @ 70 mph). Ya want to meet at Red line now?

Eh I took the head off last week, waiting on some stuff that should be here tomorrow. Your tip for removing the gasket is working, but it appears some of the fire ring is stuck to head where it broke, I'm sure its on the block surface as well. Ideas for that?
