Hey guys i need a new motor. Where can i get one, or can i rebuild mine. Any suggestions.

wether you can rebuild yours all depends on the extent of the damage, and as far as a new one, you can hit up all the noraml internet spots, JLP, JDM, LFP, ect. They sell short blocks(with out heads) and Long Blocks(with heads).

yeah it runs like crap. I went to the dealer again, and they did a comp. test, and the # 4 cylinder is dead.

If the cylinder is rebuilable swap it out for a short block and put your heads on it.

You can get an AER Ford snagly rebuilt for less than 3 grand or you can go forged for another grand. Then 12-1500 labor. No compression is probably in the head which could be fixed for 8-1,200 in the truck.

I have a question Terry Ive been waiting for my Motor to Blow, but it wont. If it was the motor don't you think it would have blown by now Ive been driving it for the past month. I could by the motor but i want to make sure its the motor. If you have time to look at my truck let me know. I know your a busy man. I just want info from someone that know these trucks. Thanks:tu:

You can drive with cylinders down for years. Other than a slight balance issue it will not make it blow instantly.

That's true, it has been thrown a lot over theyears and still felt like it was brand new
