Looking for input on a good printer- please chime in.

Requirements:
Color, printer, copier, fax, and scanner combo
Print load- 75 to 80 pages per day, and max one day a month 300 (statements)

Seems like a laser jet with all its maintenance costs is overkill.

compare the cost per page for inkjet and the laser catches up pretty quick

We just got a new HP3050 for the firehouse. It's pretty cool and was only $199 bucks on sale....but the sale is over....:icon_frown: It's a B&W Laser. The cost of injet cartridges vs toner is a no brainer.... the toner will pump out 2000+ quality pages while the cartridge will only do 400 or so.

I like a bit of overkill when it comes to my business hardware.. Here is what I was looking at.. fast speed, color laser, duplexing, wireless connections, etc etc.. just saw it being advertised for $699..

wireless is only needed if you are putting it across the room from where your wired desktop is ... As long as it has wired network any wireless device on the same network can print to it

50 x1 and 60 x3 to refill the toner = $220
that will net you about 2000+ pages == about $0.115 per page

or 71 x1 and 85 x 3 = $325
will yield about 4000 + pages = .081 per page

For my office setup, I would like the wireless setup, otherwise I would need to run wires all across the floor or rather around the perimeter..very messy indeed.. However, I believe that it would also work as a printer and such for other wireless laptops and desktops in the house.. very nice indeed.

HP all in one Inkjet takes $10 ink refill but they claim its good for 350 pages
which works out to $.03 a page - while another HP inkjet printer claims 165 pages for $20 which is $11 a page .. Who do you believe ...
