Liquid Body Armor

Did anyone see this on the Discovery Channel? This maybe old but I had just seen it a few nights ago. Guys from MIT are working on liquid filled vests/panels that cover the entire body. When the bullet strikes the panel the liquid becomes instantly hard and defeats the bullet. After the impact the panels become soft again. Pretty cool stuff.

Yea, that was kind of like the stuff they were showing. I don't remember the kevlar being part of the make-up in this armor but it could have been. Still pretty cool technology.

I'd be curious to see what caliber/rounds and bullets that they've tested in the labs and what has proven successful on the battlefield with this new body armor.
