Does anyone recommend or not recommend emulators... ?

That is an old mainly GM device all modern tuning does not use them anymore. You simply turn it off in the PCM these days.

Buy a SCT Handheld tuner and get Terry to plug some tunes in it for you:tu:

the only thing i have used it for is checking and clearing codes
