I have a Question - regarding stripped rotors and boost

OK i saw this in NLOC how much is this true.


ok guys I switched out my stripped rotors with some old ones I had from my old charger. My boost has now jumped back up to just about normal. I have actually gained half a # of boost at higher speeds. so in other words my stripped rotors were at fault for my loss of boost.

That sounds about right. A roots blower experiences a goodly amount of blowback. Some of the air blows back through the rotors, which accounts for a large portion of the efficiency loss (read that heat build up). The coating on the Eaton rotors helps the seal between rotor lobes. Stripping off the coating decreases the sealing efficiency.
