Is the July meeting still a go? Shiner1 is the only one to have posted up as planning to attend. Since it's in Richardson I was planning on making it.

Well isn't this the shit! I clean the truck for the first time in months, dust off the ol' TALON t-shirt and come out to BDs and here I sit in the parking lot ALONE!! Guess I should have skipped this one too

Hell, I'm still gonna get me a pulled pork sandwich! Anyone comes look for the TALON shirt...

Great meeting tonight! A meeting of one is always good! Great catching up with myself and good conversation around the table! Scenery was stellar although the waitress for my table was never around or conversational. Should have sat at the bar for an eyeful of that. Don't know if I will be around for a while...I'm spent from all of the excitement...

The positive part of the recession is that you can generally get more for the same amount just a bit of time ago.. Nice trailer.. of course, I hope to see the inside in person shortly after a successful bowhunting trip for some feral pigs... :D

Yes, it's a very good time to buy toys, as both individuals and businesses are struggling to make sales. I was able to step up to this trailer because I came out so well on the insurance settlement on the old one. I came out really well on the old one because I bought it for way under book value. Gonna' take a few weeks to get this one sorted out and then moved out to the lease and set up. Then I need to do some repairs on my hunting area, as everything took a beating in that storm. Then it's got to cool off just a bit and it'll be time to hunt again. :tu:

Are you thinking of building a structure over the trailer to keep it from being damaged by hail, plus of course give it some shade? I have see some folks do this and thought it was a pretty good idea..not sure what it would cost with all the 4x4's, plywood, shingles and such..

No. The damage last time was not to the roof, as most RV's have a rubber roof. The damage was all to the front and one side, all the way down to the bottom. Apparently, the hail was driven at a hard angle by the wind. It would take a full garage to prevent hailstones like those. However, this time I bought a trailer with a full fiberglass exterior, as opposed to an aluminum exterior, and the fiberglass is much less prone to hail damage.
