Will do on the wheels Terry. Gonna have to slow down on the mods for a bit since I am now having to pay quite a few docs Mercedes payments.

Dana- think im gonna hold off a bit on the stereo upgrade for a bit but definately need to get it. Everyday I get a new bill from the hospital or docs, I thought credit cards were bad

Terry how much to do a set of stock 03 wheels black with polished lip at your shop? What do the 02 wheels look like, do you have a pic I could see? I am a new lightning owner so be patient.
Thanks, Sherman

Would you consider swapping me the 02 core set you have for my 03's? And if so, then how much? Have you seen anyone with the 03 wheels painted? Thanks, Sherman

Oh yea, whats the turn around time to get the wheels painted?

I think labor and supplies will be the same on any wheel. Turn around is about 1-2 days depending on schedules. I don't know about trading for 03's most people want 02's and that is why I bought a set for cores.

Any leads on a set of stock 02 wheels for sale?

They are around here and there eBay. If you want the 02 painted I will do the standard 400 paint and polish, and tire labor and accept your 03's for cores assuming they are clean no dings. Is that the deal you want? I can have them ready Monday or Tuesday.

A guy I met at Kennedale last night (the inventor of the drop shackle) has a set of 01 wheels he is trying to sell for $300.

You forgot to mention the "inventor" also is the originator of the 6300rpm shift point in his stock bottom end L with 4.30 gears:eek2: Great deal on the wheels, wish someone had his number.

I think that is the same guy that had a 586 hp stock motor with a 4# pulley:eek2: I obviously wasted my money on a motor:hammer:

The 4.30 gears really hurt him on the dyno though.. The 586 only made 412rwhp:hammer:

Terry, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, (computer crash, work, etc.) but yes that is the deal I was referring to was to get the 02's painted black and give you my 03's for cores, and they are perfect.

But I want your honest opinion about how you think my truck will look with black wheels and the truck being black? It looks great on your Silver L, but I am hesistant about the black on black. Thoughts?

I'm sure I could do white, but it just shows up too much dirt and crud! But I want something different, and Black on black is that!

Where is your shop at by the way?

I can't remember the guy's name. Maybe Shackleford. Get it? shackle...................... Ford.
The guy says he is at Kennedale all the time. Can't miss him. Black truck chrome 18" wheels 500+ horsepower, truck shifts at 6,300 rpm, 4:36 gears, older guy like myself, but shorter & dumpier, etc....... approach at your own risk.

I saw him again yesterday off Sublett/287- must live in the Kennedale area.

I'll try and flag him down if I see if again and get the number for the wheels.

Don't go through all that trouble, its no big deal, unless someone other than myself is inquiring about them. I think I'm gonna end up going with chrome wheels since the truck is black. Thanks for all the input and help with this though.
