Just think how much MORE these F350s weigh than our Ls (not to mention the engine alone) and the amount of TQ/HP it takes to pull it off!

I'd be curious to see his mods...and check out that plume of black smoke he lays out the entire 1/4 mile!

I saw a Dodge cummins running the 1/8 at 7.9's and he was running the bulldog chip, 1300 dollar injectors, and propane. talk about a lot of black smoke

Months before I bought the L, I talked to several guys that had 250 & 350 Power Strokes.
All mentioned a company in East Texas ....... or maybe LA/Ark, that did mods on the diesel.
PS engine is kickass.

dboat Dana, if I was to trade in my daily driver today, it would be for a 250 PS. The only diff I ever saw was the 350 had an extra leaf spring in the rear end.

I love that "turbo-spooling, jet taking off" sound. that thing had some mega TQ to be able to pull that hard in first. cool thing is those trucks redline arround 3k. wonder what kind of tranny could handle all that power, and I know he wasnt shifting with the 3 foot floor shifter that those have, must have been an auto.

My bro in law has a 350 PS.. he uses it for pulling his 38 foot travel trailer.. he has his boost pumped up to about 22lbs:eek2: Not sure how fast it is but torque it does have.. :tu:

Yep, the 7.3L turbo-diesel block does have some staying power!

I seem to remember reading some PSD posts along time ago since the parents are looking to get a F-250/F-350 rig to tow a cab-over/5th wheel out West to CO/UT/AZ since retirement is around the corner for them.

There was this one SD driver who towed long goose necks filled with heavy goods from CO to WY with a brand-new SD and racked up over 238K miles in one year. He had to have an oil change every week, according to the thread (wish I could dig it up), but he said it pulled like a locomotive and never failed him.
