End that is:D I finally got around to dropping the pan off the super engine and looking for my noise. I thought it might be a rod bearing or wrist pin.. After removing and inspecting the rod and main caps and bearings. Everyting looks like new so it must be piston slap and a little side play. The bottoms of the pistons still look cold and new. So this week she will go back together and receive a new tranny with new mods to test/punish. I have a renewed drive to push her as hard as I can. Hopefully we'll see some 10's out of her this time:tu: It is a site to behold, Manley rods, Probe pistons, ARP studs:bows .

Terry,

Your going to take that socket/extension off that main-bearing bolt before you put that oil-pan back on, right? :eek2: :tu:

When are you gonna make 500hp you wuss:rll: . I can't afford a KB biz has been slow. I am doing good to keep the L. I have my K_Rustom ported Eaton that will have to do for now. Seeing that Apten case in action Saturday gave me some hope. Maybe a line lok and a little spray for good measure.

Is this the same motor that you were offering for sale that Bubba nearly bought?

You can pull the pan with the engine still in the truck???

hah, yes it is I am glad I checked it. I almost sold a great engine too cheap, glad we never struck a deal:hammer: . The bearings still looked NEW, not a wear mark at all. Only a Jedi Master you can pull the pan in the truck:bows :twitch: .
