Here is the story straight off of MLB.COM. A-Rod for Soriano and a minor league pitcher.

Well, I hate New Yorkers, but how can you not love a team as dedicated to winning at the Yankees are? The Yankees have won 1/4 of all championships played which makes them 26 time World Champions.

They should trade A-rod to the mascot team on the Most Xtreme Challenge.

Go Padres! :nana2 I love New York City, But hate all of its sports teams (especially the pin stripe boys). I have been to several games at Yankee stadium and it is a very historical place. New York fans are the worst ever though, NO CLASS. The Yankees are the most successful team in the history of MLB with 26 WS Wins but, since free agency, they also have had a huge advantage over almost all of the other clubs because of the market they play in (BIG $$$$$). So is this really that big of a deal. Baseball has fallen in popularity and will continue to do so because there is a serious lack of parity between the teams. College sports are so much more exciting.
My 2 cents.
