When you say Densos, do you mean the IT20's or 22 and whats the diff on those. One more thing, is it safe to run a 6lb with stock plugs..thanks. Think the 555's it is :D

Stock F1s and plugs all around, here. 17-18K on the daily-driver odometer, also.

Not to BRAG, or anything! :D

Up to about 12lbs of boost...go IT20's. Over 12lbs...go to the 22's. I actually know owners that are using IT20's with 15lbs of boost....16lbs up definnitely go to the 22's.

OOPs...I just saw your question....the IT22's are TWo heat ranges cooler than the IT20's.

RocksI just saw more of your question...sorry.

No, it is not safe to run with a 6lb over pulley and stock plugs. Move up AT LEAST 2 heat ranges with what ever brand plug you use.....If you go Denso(they are expensive plugs) use the IT 20's or 22's. The 22's may be a tad on the cool side for 14lbs of total boost, but they will disapate more heat than the 20's. The downside to the 22's...blow out on the top end is possible....and occasionally you will notice a bit of rough idle when the truck is cool after sitting overnight.

Rocks

Who is tuning your truck???? I would defenitely go with the heat range he suggests. He will be the best judge of what is best for the tune he gives you.

Paul,

I'm using NGK-TR6's with my 4lb'er, and they work great! Purrs like a kitten in idle and drive!

As for tires, I'm in the same dilemma, thinking about 555's...

I would go with the 555's that is what I am running and get great traction out of them on street and strip

At what psi do you run them on the street/strip? I've heard a few people over at f150online run about 28-30 psi on the street.

555's suck. In my opinion, the F1's grip better. I will never get nittos again, just the drag radials.

Thank you Merbuff, last week I was trying to convince TxBlue that the F1's was capable of that kind of mileage but he did not want to believe it  Anyway I know it can be done and you're proof. Anyway TxBlu got some new shoes and he's rolling again. :) Here's  to high mileage from F1's
