What would you do to make your Lightning a 10 second truck?

Cost does matter, and keep it a daily driver..

That is not something you do on the cheap. If cost is a concern then you should concentrate on a more modest goal.

$10k brotha, unless you can take FULL advantage of a strip-o-rama like "02BOLT" just had. I'm gonna do a couple more things to put me in the .70's with you and thats gonna be it for me. You could buy you a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 if you REALLY wanna fly. They run 9.60's as soon as you sign the papers.

well, im hopin in the near future that i might bang out some 10's. go for fully built street motor, ported everything. a twin screw blower, built tranny, and safety equipment. there is no way its been cheap. the cheapest way to do it is to learn to mod yourself, but then again some people dont want to put forth the effort or risk screwing something up.

I said cost does matter for sake of fabrication (ei. twin turbo which is currently not available). And porting the apten would waste $600 if you need a KB to push 20+ lbs of boost, if that's your goal..

I have seen what it takes to achieve 11's, but 10's are still that grey cloud of

Built Longblock/stage2-3 cams
Built Tranny
KB 20+ lbs
NOS 150-200?
Fuel pumps/injectors
rollcage :vomit:

That's $20k not including misc stuff... but would that run 10's haha

You take the combination I had and add cams That would've gotten me into the 10.90's in good air. Ported heads are good for another 2-3 tenths or so at a given boost level. Anyway, that's my .02.:tu:
