View Full Version : Age of Lightning owners

I was just wondering if there has ever been a survey or anything done on the age groups of lighting owners? I think it would be cool to see which groups had the most lightnings. How could we set up a format to see this?(Doug)

Lets see... I was 26 when I bought my first L. Of course, that was back in '94. ;)

But I still have an L, so I guess I still haven't grown up in 10 years, huh? :D

I'm 22. I have never been on F150online or what ever that other forum was. What is the average age for it? I kind of figure on the majority being in the 40's!

Thanks! I was telling Elaine that I was starting to get the "TALON withdrawal shakes" about mid-week. :o :D

It's sorta' strange to go from driving a '04 Dodge Intrepid for a week, and then back to the L. :bows

As for older L owners, I knew a '00 White L owner in his mid-70s back in Tulsa and another '99 Red L owner in his 60s.

Welcome back and congrats on the hitch.

A year or 2 ago I did a calculation of expenses - assuming a 30,000 payment plus insuarance plus gas plus rent plus plus plu = about a 40k a year income minimum.... I have the excel sheet somewhere

That number is not out of reach for some of the young tradesmen we have here. Throw in some O.T. and 50 k is possible.

I really don't know what kind of money the puter techies make when first starting out. I bet it is not far from that either.

Now for a, "back When I was starting out", story. My first job in the AC business paid 5.75 and hour. The experienced techs made 10-11. My, how things have changed:cool: .

I love the "back when I started" stuff... as I get older, I can start to share those stories. Min. wage was like $3.75 when I started working at age 16. I quickly learned I could make a lot more $$ in a lot less time mowing yards. Actually had a decent business through college. Kind of wish I'd kept doing it, but my current self-employed gig isn't too bad.

I'd like to 2x-up on the L pmts and a house down-pmt. soon. But, Elaine has me on a STRICT budget regarding the Valentine-1 and the M-40 Blinder. :crying: :D
