With all the laws and hassles with driving these days I think my next new vehicle will be a helicopter. Anybody want to split a Rotorway Exec 162F? 67K is a fiar price..

I looked into those last year. Looks like a blast! Getting your license would be the biggest pain (and be about $12k), and it was a heck of a lot of hours to put it together. I then started looking at kit planes and it's much more reasonable to do, especially with the new sport pilot license. All in all I figured it'd be best to just buy a Cessna 150 and be done with it. :tu:

Man...with your luck, there is absolutely no way you should even step near or into a helicopter...:nono:

You don't need a license for kit planes ro helicopters.
What else could go wrong:rolleyes:

But who would you get to fix it if anything ever broke:rolleyes:. You'd have to find a composite guy.

Running out of altitude, airspeed and ideas, all at the same time. http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

Helicopters are a blast to ride in, though! http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/bows.gifhttp://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/nana.gif

The engine RPM, and the rotor RPM, must BOTH be kept in the GREEN. Failure to heed this commandment can affect the morale of the crew.

Some other good ones here:

Thousands of Vietnam Veterans earned medals for bravery every day. A few were even awarded.

Mostly to guys in body bags.
