I spent the day on the dyno tuning some trucks for FFW Houston. These trucks had decent mods but I am begining to think a dyno tune could benefit mild bolt on trucks as well. Dyno tuning is a lot of work and not many folks appreciate the costs associated. The results speak for themselves though. One truck was running a mail order tune from JDM which being mail order is set safe. It was 11.0 a/f making 360hp it was loading with fuel bogging all the way up. The customer had fuel rails that were throwing the tune off. After two pulls we go it up to 425 and 11.8 a/f. The other truck posted a 80hp gain with a dyno tune. I may be able to pull it up over 500rwhp on a race tune. A dyno is a heck of a tool when it comes to tuning a vehicle. Of course I am conservative on my timing and tunes so there will always be a 'higher number" somwhere..

After i get all the goodies i want in 3 weeks, a dyno tune will be just what the doctor ordered. Or..........should i get a sct tuner?
