Do an advanced search for completed auctions for Xbox 360s that have been listed for over $1000

6000 auctions come up ....
if you do tha same search at min price of $600 37703 auctions come up...

right now there are a full screen of listings that end in the next 3 minutes...

core systems are going for $450 and the premiums for over $700 on average

This happens every year when the "latest and greatest" gaming systems come out. When the Playstation came out my brother paid about $800 for his because his kids had to have the first one. I bought mine 6 months later for $150. The demand is so damn high for these new gaming systems that people stand in line for hours when they go on same and buy as many of them as they can get their hands on just to resell them for a huge markup. And the funny thing is there are idiots out there that are willing to pay big dollars for them! I should have stood in line at Best Buy last week so I could capitalize on people that have more money than sense...oh well.

Hey Doug I guess I had just missed out on ya at Best Buy in lewisville..I was back in town and my brother was up there waiting. He said you had some pals up there and you had JUST left. If anyone else is looking for a 360, word through the grapevine is that this friday most stores will have the 2nd shipment...so if you're really dying for one hit em up at open on Friday. (My brother got his last tues...and it's amazing.) The games aren't to the capability of the system yet, but you can tell that it will be crazy.

There are 2 models of the 360. The less expensive one does not allow you to play the old games. You can buy a software upgrade that will play the old games though. If you buy the more expensive model, it has the old game software already installed.
