For those who will be running race fuel, how much are you going to leave in your tanks. Going out to Hallsville before I put 3/4 of a tank and had a 1/4 left and had to try and hot lap it to get the fuel down. :hammer:
I dont want to put too much 93, and planning on running out and filling up on the side of the road with race gas.

Also, anybody bringing their Talk About's? and what channel

I used to try to have 1/4 tank of 93 in my truck when I got to the track, then mix it with 5 gallons of 104. Unless you're running just an astronomical amount of boost, or you're spraying(N2O); mixing 5 or so gallons of 104 with 93 should be more than sufficient to enable you to tend to business.

If you run the tank dry, and only run 5 gallons of 104, then you run the risk of having fuel pick-up issues upon launch. Then you get into having to dump 3-4 more gallons of race fuel in just to eliminate that issue. At that point you've got $50 bucks worth of race fuel in your tank that you'll only use $10 bucks of racing. Then you get stuck burning up the remaining $40 bucks worth on the trip home.

That was just my philosophy, which worked for me. Just my .02 ;)

Its only about 130 miles to Temple from Arlington.

I plan off starting with 15 gallons which should leave me with about 5 by the time I get there. Then add 5 gallons of race fuel via Mr Cole and you should be good to go.

5 gallons of 93+ 5 gallons of 104 = 101 mix plenty save for my tune

I think a lot of cusotmers use your same fuzzy math:D . How about 98.5 octanes when mixing 50/50.;)
