When I bought my L, I never thought I would mod it. In spite of that, I have all of these parts I've kept when I've had stuff changed out thinking that some day, if I ever sold the truck, someone might want all of the original parts so they can make it stock again.
Does anyone else think there is value in holding onto the original Hood, Air Filter, Lower Pulley, Sway Bars, Suspension?
I'd appreciate feedback either way, even on the individual pieces if needed.

well if you want to ditch the sway bars ill take the rear one. Mom wants me to put one on her regular f150

Brook,
It depends. Do you plan on keeping it forever? Is it worth the trouble to store the items? A hood is a very inconvenient thing to have lying around. The other stuff isn't too bad. If you plan on keeping the truck, keep the stuff. Undoubtedly our L's will be collectors items. If you think you will eventually get a something else, perhaps the next generation L, chuck everything. I'm a car part pack rat but I wish I wasn't.

I keep all mine, too. I have the original hood in the back of the garage with a blanket over it. I also have several parts for the old '75 Spitfire in the shop and I haven't had it since the 80's..... I did sell the hardtop before we moved out here.....I didn't want to move it. I tend to be a packrat!

I've kept most of my stuff as well. The stock hood is mounted on the wall in the garage and isn't in the way at all.

I would take your rear leafs if you get rid of them.

I am the same way.. brought my sway bars, pulley, fan, etc back up here from Dallas.. plus have the stock airbox, etc... probably should try to sell them, but if I ever sell it, usually a lot of sellers want to buy it stock rather than modded..

Well it looks like I'm not the only one who has been hanging on to their stuff.
Mike and Adam... If and when I ever decide to get rid of this stuff, you two already have dibs on those pieces.
I won't forget and until then I'll keep my eye out in other places I visit since I know you are looking.
