Shaking my head... oh, to be "young and _dumb_." (not to insinuate that all young drivers are dumb... but the often-used phrase certainly fits here)

Unibody construction at its best. That is why I call it driving a coffin..

I wouldn't own/drive a "beer-can on wheels". Unsafe and flimsy.

That jeep may be a unibody but i believe it still has a frame under it like a truck dose.

TruBluAggie,
Yes, Elaine's '05 Liberty has a frame underneath - I'd take/post-up pics, but I don't have the "cycles" to do this tonight. I ran out to the garage to confirm w/the Mag-Light.
Oh, how does that wonderful masterpiece of Scandanavian automotive engineering running for you and "The Warden"?
To quote:
"Like most small SUVs, Liberty follows the trend away from body-on-frame to unibody construction. Jeep calls Liberty's construction uni-frame because it's a beefed up unibody with frame-like reinforcement rails. This gives the Liberty increased strength and rigidity. That rigidity allowed the chassis engineers to finely tune the suspension without having to compensate for a Flexible Flyer-type chassis. The Liberty suspension uses coil springs at all four wheels. Breaking from Jeep tradition, the front suspension is independent, like the new Grand Cherokee, with forged steel control arms."
