Ok, here's the deal. Got a green light from the Mrs. to blow $500.00 on whatever I want. Right now the L has a 2" rear drop, Moroso deep pan on the tranny, 3-guage pod on the A-pillar (boost, trans temp, & oil pressure), 6lb pulley, swiss cheese airbox, K&N panel filter, Excalibrator w/Terry tunes (2), and an Optima battery.

Any suggestions??? :burnout:

On a serious note...the larger heat exchanger will help out a little while running that bigger pulley. A 6lb lower spins the stock supercharger pretty hard, which makes alot of heat.

The electric fan is good for some extra ponies. Taking that 8lb hunk of rotating mas off the crank never hurts.

I changed my water pump to the "Cobra Style" water pump, but that was a couple years back. Since that time, the benefit to doing this mod has come under some doubt. This being said...I probably wouldn't.

Not for a 2002, only the old 8 blade pumps for a 99 or 00.
I have a new navigator pump that I haven't installed yet to replace the "Cobra" pump that still have too.

I am not sure what you mean by your comment...."not for a 2002".

Are you saying that it is not a waste for a 2002, but it is for a 99 or 00?

Please esplain your thoughts there mang.

The 99 and 00 pumps are a HP drain, all others it is a waste of money to change them.

Go with Terry's setup. There's enough other discussion in this thread to help you decide on the water pump. I have an 03 and did not change the water pump.

Keep you stock fan. The gains from the loss of rotating mass are minimal at best.....plus you do not drag race so you do not benifit from the use of the fans while the truck is not running.

I would say to go with a ported eaton, and then drop down to a 4lb lower. If you get some quick cash go with a 2.8 upper. Safer on the motor, less heat because of the port job which allows you to put off an upgrade on the innercooler.

Then you can make your move towards a new exhaust system later on when you have the cash....

Best bang for your buck guaranteed. :tu:

Im confused - A 4# plus a 2.8 will net just a touch more boost than the 6# he already has - how is it safer ? Is it worth the trouble and the belt slippage to end up with the same net boost ?

The "safer" comment was meant more towards the ported eaton, and taking away some of the heat associated with spinning it as fast as a 6# lower does. The 4# lower and a port could possibly provide the same power output without the heat gain....saving him also from having to get the innercooler changed out (for now).

If he thinks there is something missing from the "seat of the pants" feel, he could install the 2.8 upper. That way he is truly back to where he was previously, but with a ported blower. As long as his tune is right, he should have no long term issues with the motor.
