Just curious as to why you have the screen name that you have here.

For example, mine is dboat.. well my name is Dana Boatman, so its a shortened version of my name. So I didnt have any creativity when I did this and dont feel like changing it now.. so for some of you there is a story behind your "name".
Dana

Well i didnt think that the name i use on the import forums from the days of my civic would go well for a Lightning forum... After reading all the forums and finaly got my L i couldnt think of a name... Well 4 months before i got the L I got a so called raise and started turning wrenches at the dealership...I get the L 3 months later the shop gets slow as crap and i hydroplaned and wrecked the L.. So I was broke at the time, and PoorSVTMan came about...

Ive thought about changing it but well id want to change it on the other forums as well. But thats to much of a hassle trying to get mods to change my name and keep my post count...

My screen name on AIM is SupaFLYNerd lol...

The origins of my screen name date back to the early seventies when my parents were gettin' it on and I accidentally happened...

I have no imagination and was trying to come up with a name to Join F150 and I owned a Silver 2000 and at the time I think that spaces were not allowed - also the :)! was added to make the software add a smiley to the end Silver_2000__;)! ....

Since then I have dropped the end off and am simply silver_2000

WA 2 FST

I have had license plates that have read "WA 2 FST" since '94. That's when the internet forums and e-mail lists started getting more common... so, given that the plate was kind of how people got to know me at various racing venues, I just decided to use it on the 'net.

Lyfisin
12-25-2005, 03:21 PM
Stupidly, mine came from Everquest, which was the first internet game I played. You get to pick a name at level one for your character and if you made it to level 20, you got to add a last name.

At level 1, I picked Lyfisin and at level 20, I added my last name of Shambles.

Lyfisin Shambles (i.e. Life is in Shambles) :(

The name has been available on every forum I ever joined so I keep it just so I don't have to remember login names from site to site.

Mine is from popular road racing terminology. Speaking of hard to register names and sights. Iwas trying ot create a login name for a busy website and I spent 30 minutes trying to get one to pass. I tried every - ! & I could think of finally I typed how I really felt and it accepted that:eek2: .

Picture of me and the wife on my 97 Honda Valkyrie. The motor is a flat six design (like a Porche Boxter). I had no truck when I joined the truck forums in 1999 so I decided to use a motorcycle reference. Sixpipes is a merged name and refers to the number of exhaust pipes on my bike. I also wanted the name to kind of sound like an native american name because of the Indian heritage on my dad's side of the family. Put in the name sixpipes or go_rila in a Google search and see what you get.

The motor is a flat six design (like a Porche Boxter). Is that a front porche or rear porche. Porsche and is two 2 syllables. Sorry some of that P club coming through.

I tried to be way too creative and nerdish and when with HIHOAG, but no one got it.
So went with the obvious.

You may not remember but my first screen name was Dr Big Dog. Doc was a nick name and Big Dog was one of my call signs when I was in the Air Force. So I combined them. It seemed to fit at the time but later on I thoght it was too corney. So I changed it to the beverage of choice...Shiner.

My father picked up a certain Red '93 Lightning back in 1999, and promptly put a personalized tag on it that read '93BOLT. That just struck me as cool. So when I bought my Silver '02 Lightning on April 8, 2002, it only seemed natural to put a personalized tag on her that read '02BOLT(Like father, like son; what can I say?).........and thus my screen name 02BOLT.

She is gone, but not forgotten. Damn I miss that truck!

It's a nickname from my Army days. It has to do with some "white knuckle" runs while driving my 18-wheel rig.

My partners started calling me knuckles. I just changed the spelling a little.

PUMP

My nickname has always been Pump. Shortened from my last name - Pumpelly.

Way back when..... AOL sent out floppy disks with 10 free hours of internet. The cost after that was about 2 bucks an hour or something absurd like that.

I had to choose a login name to join. I chose Rocks....and actually got it. Now you can pretty much count on most variants of Rocks being taken.... especially with AOL. I used that nick for pretty much anything and everything I signed up on. When I got my 2003 Lightning, 03LightningRocks seemed appropriate ;) .

Rocks:cool:

BC Lightning

BC is short for Bad Company, which is the street race crew I rolled with back in high school. I had one of the few lightnings, and even raced Gaven way back when, its my login in on a ton of forums so I won't be changing it, even though I have wanted to.

Tex Arcana

Mine's really obscure... back in the old days, when Heavy Metal magazine was in its heyday, there was a series that came out called "Tex Arcana", basically a Western gothic horror serial; well, I was feelin' rather gothic at the time I tried it on, and it tends to fly when I log in, since very few ever even think to use it. Of course, it backfired like hell, 'cuz people keep thinking I mean the town and not the character. So look for this one to change in short order, 2006 is around the corner, and I'm feelin' the need for something different. :tu:

When I joined F150Online, I was still researching before I bought my 2000 Lightning, and I had a 98Cobra, and that wasnt registered, so I took it. For simplicity sake, I kept it when registering at TALON.

A few years ago, after a long day of riding atv's through muddy trails all day long, a buddy of mine told me after stopping for a short break that it looked like I had "fungus" growing on my butt. We all laughed and then it hit me! I have buttfungus! It's kind of "stuck" to me ever since that day!.....:rll:.

:evil Do you remember the special welcome Doug gave you....:rll: .

Mr Butt.. Welcome

This is a freindly group for the most part. Not sure if you will be happy with buttfungus over the long term as a username... My suggestion would be to change it to something less 3rd grade....

QDRHRSE
12-28-2005, 12:10 AM
Back in the early 90's I was a street racer and all the fast guys had custom plates like "ULBSORY", "IETZR1S", "POPSTOY","HOT50", "BWTYETR".....so when I built my first Mustang, it was a 68 California Special, I chose the plate QDRHRSE. It just so happens that the original QDRHRSE was on the cover of HotRod magazine with yours truely standing in front of it. If I can find a copy of March 93 I'll scan it and post the picture. I lost the car in a fire. I tried to put it back together but it was never the same....after I got it running again I sold it, still half charred on the outside. I was in a HotRod article later on and on the covers of some smaller magazines too. Anyway, that plate has been on one of my Mustangs, there have been a lot, for the last 16 years. Since my wife is pregnant and I'm expecting my first child, I've decided to sell my racecar and to put the plate on my L. It's funny because I bought the L to tow the Mustang. I hope the L will be as fun but more useful than the 5.0.

Hmm. Where do I start? :) In '98 as I recollect, Ford released the photos /stats of the famous Red '99 and I was in love! One of my Tulsa neighbors was one of the first to own one - he let me drive it - Red '99 L, actually.:bows

I then started following f150online.com in '98 and the accomplishments of Stan/Ruslow. I visited Hallett on occasion, made his acquaintence and rode-shotgun numerous times about course. Stan's nuts!:bows

I then developed a deeper respect for the L, and decided to place a deposit on a white '00 L at the I-44/Sheridan Ford outfit. It was a pitched-battle between the parents and the ex-Jennifer. "You'll kill youself in something that fast!" and "It's impractacle".

I eventually caved-in .... but, the fire was still alive. knanaI vowed myself "never again" and I would return.

I heard rumors of a new-and-improved L around '01/'02 with the 380 HP #s and the "Frankenstein" wheels - :nana2Through many twists-and-turns about the US., I was lucky to find "her" in a land Far-Away.

I told myself that Suzie is going to be my2002lightning.

The rest is history.:)

Mine came from a former talon member Scott swanson, he had a white 2000, & a true blue 03, I ran a guy in his stock c5 on 190 and pulled him, when he asked about the truck Scott told him that my truck was just a farm truck used to haul hay most of the time.
my screen name is spelled wrong due to intoxication at the time that I registered.

TP Derrick D
12-28-2005, 10:31 PM
T is for Total , P is for Performance , Derrick D is my name and middle initial.
TP is also doubled as my wifey's initials. The name came by since I have been into Performance vehicles for 30 years or so and at the time owned a 10 sec Stang & a Gen2 L it just seem right, but to long..(Total Performance Derrick Dewayne)..plus it rythms..TP Derrick D. and it's real.
