Do you have to have cats on your mid pipes. I know you dont have to but to be able to pass emissions standards? Thanks

to legally pass yes you have to have cats, however, if you have a hand held programmer, O2 Emulators, or some way of sending a signal to the computer saying your vehicle has cats then yes it will pass, I'd say stay with the cats, they aren't like mustangs to where you can just put an off-road H or X pipe on them

You can still fail the visual inspection of the test... Us state inspectors are supposed to look at to make sure the cats are there....
Best way to do it is to gut the cat and slide a piece of pipe throw the cat, weld it up and you have straight pipes but still looks like u have a cat...

I'll have a set of Bassani off-road mids in a few weeks if you're interested.
They're the stainless version and have (4) bungs in the stock location.
