LOL! That's awesome!

Did anyone see Ron Capps's car explode? Wow! ESPN2 kept replaying and froze it at the point of explosion. :eek: The supercharger, which had to be the size of an entire Lightning engine, took flight.

I'm glad he's OK, but what an awesome explosion! Is that morbid? Sorry Ron.

That pic that Sixpipes showed up there ^^^^ is of the Pro-Mod class.

Very cool class. Nitrous-oxide and blower motors are the ticket. The fastest ones run low-6s @ 230-240mph. :eek2:

700+ cubes, though.

It'd be quite funny to see a Pro 5.0 tube-chassis Mustang (smallblock, blower or turbo motor'd car) compete with those guys! They're in the 6.7 range...not as close as it seems, but for a smallblock? Sheesh, that's pretty impressive.

I think this is similar to the old AA Fuel Altered class. I've been a fan ever since I saw Wild Willie Borsch drive his AA Fuel car at the old dragstrip that used to be in Lewisville in the early 70s. :cool:
