I ran out of SCT tuners before Christmas. I ordered another case but they won't be here until the middle of next week. Thanks for your patience:tu:

You are kidding right ??

The Hardware plus 3 tunes plus lifetime support for $400 isnt enough you want a couple hours of dyno time too ?:hammer: :hammer:

I get that question a lot Doug, these guys are silly. I have dyno'd several combos on stock Lightnings. It is only the nitrous and aftermarket head/cammed engines I really need to street or dyno tune. Dyno tuning starts at 400 bucks unless I get a group deal together. I offer my wideband and data logging street tuning starting at $200. My tunes are derrived from hundreds of dyno tunes anyway. My dyno time costs me 300 a day and it is a LOT of work to hookup a truck and square it away. The MAP price for an empty tuner set by SCT is $379. Most shops do one tune for 400. I don't need to qualify why to go with PR anyway.

Due to dyno rental it is about that. By the time you build a serious enough engine that needs a dyno tune 400 bucks is the least of your worries:cool: . I know Rocks has over $2,500 in various dyno tuning sessions from Jim and it is still with issues. JDM charges $175 to strap it on the dyno and $150 for a one hour two pull tune, $75 an hour after that. Tuning is very equipment intensive (dyno 40-100K, laptop $800, data logging $450, wideband 02 regular sensor changes $500, tuning software $5,000, traiining classes $3,000) and is critical to keeping your investment together. It is amazing how many folks would rather risk an engine over a couple to 400 bucks.

Terry,
What cams and springs would you recommend for me...stock block pusher of Talon;)

I like the crower stage 2 high lift series. Some run the stage 3 or "JDM 2.7564321" they seem to be more for RPM and require a higher stall converter. They offer a spring/retaier kit or Manley and Comp make them also.

Terry,
Does this one offer data logging and DTC diagnostics?

Is it VIN locked so it can only be used for one vehicle?

Thanks!

It has data logging capabilities I think it runs to a laptop like the Raptor with use of their Live link software. All flash tuners VIN lock as they store all of your stock data to their memory etc.

Terry,
I want to 86 my oil separator by using a crankcase breather like the one sold by LFP. http://www.lightningforceperformance.com/catalog/productDetails.php?productID=1047

but the ad says, "SPECIAL NOTE: Breather should not be installed without reprogramming the PCM to compensate for change in crankcase pressure. To install simply remove oil stem cap and screw in breather."

Can I accomplish this w/ the SCT?
Also, is this something you recommend or will I have any problems like passing inspection?

Finally, I'd like to set something up in February to get an SCT (I still want one even if I can't eliminate the separator) w/ a tune by you. I have a couple other things I'd like to have done as well. I'll PM you about.
