I finally got my frames for the Talon group picture. I checked at Garden ridge and Hobby lobby and they had their cheapest custom built metal frames on sale and I could get both the small and the large picture frames for around $230 and it would only take 2 weeks...That wasn't going to happen.
I ended up finding the wholesaler that supplies the material to these places and they do custom frames there too. They just don't advertise that portion of the business.
I ended up getting one of the cheaper wood frames they offered (much stronger and stiffer than the cheap metal) for both the 6x23 and the 12x46 frames for $120 +tax. Trying to keep it cheap, they gave me the assembled wood part of the frames, a seperate cut piece of acrylic, a piece of cardboard that I needed to cut to size for the backing, some framers points to hold the backing inplace, and loose saw tooth hanger brackets with some tacks. Other than the wood frame being assembled I had to assemble the rest and install the brackets. That was easy and took me 20min for both pictures taking my time. It only took them two days to make them too, although they said they could have made them while I waited.
