Keep this in mind when you foot starts to weigh heavier then your mind

Dallas and the state of Texas will launch a 30-day speeding ticket frenzy.
The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be generated in speeding
tickets. 1 million will go to pay state troopers and Dallas Police officers
overtime. There will be 50 police officers and state troopers in the
Metroplex on duty at all times patrolling the 10 main intersections and
highways.

They are the following:

I-35E north and south

I-20 east and west

75 north and south

635 entire loop

114 east and west

183 east and west

175 north and south

North Dallas Tollway north and south

George Bush Turnpike east and west

360 north and south

Now 5 mph above the limit can justify a ticket and every officer is
supposed to pull a car over and write a ticket every 10 minutes. They have
issued 30 brand new unmarked Crown Victoria cruisers and they are bringing
all their part timers on full time. If you work in Dallas or the
surrounding areas you must take one of these interstates, routes, or
parkways. It's up to you how fast you are doing when they do. WBAP-820 AM
confirmed all of this yesterday morning.

So be safe and don't forget speeding tickets are on you.

That is getting real darned close to a quota system. They have to pull someone over every 10 minutes.

I would love to see a citizens campaign incouraging everyone that get's a ticket to plead innocent and request a court date. Poof...there goes the revenue estimates...LOL.

Actually...even with no campaign, I bet the traffic court will be packed...yep...get a ticket today...delay the bad boy for a year or so and you have a good shot the cop will have quit by then.

Well I guess Richardson didn't get the memo. They have been sitting next to my house all day. The speed limit is 30mph and people drive +60mph all the time.
They are towing all cars over 25mph over, talked to them earlier, before to much beer.;)

They are towing this one now.

Try telling the Arlington PD that it's a hoax. I've lived in the South Arlington/Grand Prairie area for the past seven years, and travel I-20 East and Westbound between Carrier Parkway, and Green Oaks Blvd pretty much daily. East and West bound I-20 between Hwy 360 and Green Oaks/Little Rd in Arlington is usually pretty heavily patrolled, and quite the speed trap at 60 mph......but I have NEVER seen them out in the force I saw them today. I travelled that route about 5 times today(The first at 8:30 this AM, the last at 8:00 tonight), and those suckers were wearing it out! BOTH sides, every few miles! If it's a hoax, then it's also one hell of a coincidence.

They also love to do speed traps ON 360. Grand Prairie police do the south part and Ft Worth police does the part over by Trinity.
