It appears that the colocation company we use has been aquired.
The aquisition requires physically moving the server. Which will result in some down time in the next few weeks. At this point Im not sure when or for how long but its coming .....

PS - This is NOT a thread from 3 years ago ;)

Does this include specific replies to threads being deleted?? Because I've counted 6 specific replies deleted in the last 24 hours.

No replies have been deleted - some may be on the old server however

The issue is that the server switched to a new home with new IP address
Its been up and running great since yesterday about 10 am - trouble is the DNS ( domain NAME server ) system and getting updates consistent around the world

In other words we moved the talonclub server from Colorado to Illinois in Colorado when you typed in talonclub.com the DNS system for the INTERNET converted the name to the IP 205.214.85.192 - Now that its in Chicago its got a new IP but some of the DNS servers are slow to catch up so they are sending you to the OLD server - I renamed the forum folder on he old server so that if you get sent there you will see an error.

You can delete your history and reboot to fix it if you see the error - I had to do that this morning

I fixed my bad DNS lookup by opening a Command Prompt and typing:

ipconfig -flushdns

That will flush all the cached DNS lookups you have performed.

Then I hit the site and it worked fine. Keep in mind if your ISP hasnt gotten the DNS change, it wont help you.

Well, I never saw the "no website found" warning, so apparently my ISP found it.

That didnt always work for me the DNS was going back and forth

When that didnt work deleting history and rebooting did - Of course it didnt help I was also connecting to the old server by IP - likly confused the crap out of XP

Minor performance issues to work out - server slows once or twice a day - we had similar tweaks to make on the last box - please be patient .. We will get them worked out - all indications from the new provider have been great so far ...
