Maybe time for a gas truck

I drove a buddy's gas truck for a week it is a new crew cab half ton Chevy 5.3L V8. I filled it up today after getting 410 miles to the low fuel light. 22.6 gallons later I got a touch over 18mpg. Best of all it filled up for under 50 bucks at 2.09 a gallon. It rides nice and is totally silent operating. I am sick of overpriced diesel fuel!

The diesel prices are hitting alot of people hard! One of my friends fills up his Freightliner Century Condo 2x a week at $450 a stop.:eek2:

I'm looking at my latest L fuel numbers: 239.9 miles, $52 fill up, 20.810 gallons = 11.528 mpg.

It's only money...:evil

My L got 9.5 mpg on average and I never cared at all. But now that my fuel bill has exceeded my truck payment I watch it more. They have you over a barrel though we have to buy it no matter what it costs.

bio-diesel...do you have a hook-up to anyone in the fast-food industry? you could start making your own fuel. that should take care of the remaining free-time in you life. ;)

I ain't puttin no fry grease in my 15K dollar engine. With the latest craze on bio diesel restaraunts are locking up their pits and selling the black gold.

Its actually pretty easy to make. If you have alot of drain cleaner and some big storage containers and something that can heat alot of fluid. Ive made a couple of tanks worth. I like it. Diesels will burn anything.
