hey i am thinking about porting the blower. Im not really sure wether it will put more stree on the block or not. As you know i want to keep the truck dependable and i really do not want to have to buy a new block.

aslo if i do it will the truck need to be retuned. If so do i need to bring it to you or can you email me the tune or do i need to put it on the dyno???

o and by the way thanks for the advise the other weekend i didn't have detonation and i ran a 12.9 on the 20's with 2 tires and a jack in the bed lol (i forgot to take them out):beer:

Depending on the port job it can require a bit of custom tuning. Some need a little and some need a lot more fuel. It also gets close to taxing the MAF and injectors. With a 4# and no headers it is okay.

but remember you put the 6# on mine. so i gues i would either have to put a 4# or change the MAF and injectors

I ran my ported blower at 19lbs of boost(6 lower and 2 upper) on the dyno while data logging the MAF. I was running out of MAV near the end of each pull when making the max boost and HP. I really didn't have much of a fuel problem until after I got the KB. My ported blower basicly added about 2-3 lbs of boost and roughly 40 HP.

ok I think i am going to go for the port. Terry do i need to bring it to you after doing it or not or should i get a dyno tune for it. I want to be safe with it and i was told that it will no put more stress on the motor. I am also going to upgrade the MAF .

Definately retune the truck. More boost and horsepower is more stress so someone is misleading you. Anytime you change MAF, injectors or blowers you get a $$ tune.
