Tom, I just couldnt resist posting this up.. fresh from my email..:evil

So as not to be outdone by all the redneck, hillbilly, and Texan jokes,
you know you're from California if:

1. Your coworker has 8 body piercing's and none are visible.

2. You make over $300,000 and still can't afford a house.

3. You take a bus and are shocked at two people carrying on a
conversation in English.

4. Your child's 3rd-grade teacher has purple hair, a nose ring, and is
named Flower.

5. You can't remember . . is pot illegal?

6. You've been to a baby shower that has two mothers and a sperm donor.

7. You have a very strong opinion about where your coffee beans are
grown, and you can taste the difference between Sumatran and Ethiopian.

8. You can't remember . . . is pot illegal?

9. A really great parking space can totally move you to tears.

10. Gas costs $1.00 per gallon more than anywhere else in the U.S.

11. Unlike back home, the guy at 8:30 am at Starbucks wearing a
baseball
cap and sunglasses who looks like George Clooney really IS George
Clooney.

12. Your car insurance costs as much as your house payment.

13. You can't remember . . .is pot illegal?

14. It's barely sprinkling rain and there's a report on every news
station: "STORM WATCH."

15. You pass an elementary school playground and the children are all
busy with their cells or pagers.

16. It's barely sprinkling rain outside, so you leave for work an hour
early to avoid all the weather-related accidents.

17. HEY!!!! Is pot illegal????

18. Both you AND your dog have therapists.

19. The Terminator is your governor.

20. If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're
here illegally, they want to give you one.

The sad thing is that a lot of that is true. However, I watch Cesar the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic channel Friday's at 8:00pm so we don't need a shrink for the dogs. My wife and I feel as though our PitBull is depressed....poor Babe! I also don't understand all the "is pot legal" jokes. It is legal here, right? Piercings aren't as prevalent as you think but tatoo's are the new big thing. The things I have seen....the horror. Californian's do freak out when they have to drive in any weather other than good weather- this is a fact. Yes, the Terminator is the Governor and I think that he is doing a great job considering what he started with. We named my wifes BMW Arnold in his honor. Auto insurance is bad but other states have it worse. You don't need a $300k income to buy a house. If you have no savings $150k (combined) will do it in most places. In Southern CA the average house price is well over 500k. Finally, it is also true that when there is a cloud in the sky the news headlines are always "StormWatch 2006- how to keep your family safe" or something stupid like that. We actually hate that ourselves. California isn't that bad....pot is legal you know!

Dana,

You are back east and its normal for you to get snow. I live in Southern CA, 50 miles from downtown LA. We seldom see a snow flake over the winter normally. It was like hell freezing over. People did not know what to do and nobody left their homes. The roads were nice and clear. I may never see it again.
