 Well, I've taken the plunge and upgraded to EBC rotors/pads, Hotchkis coils, JLP shackles with Hotchkis sways and Ruslow's QA1 / heim setup on the way.

Terry, why are the braking surfaces black, too? I'll be contacting you.:tu:

Well, as an addendum to my post, I've experienced a catastrophic loss of cell phone service this weekend. You see, I had my Motorola V551 on my side yesterday while mowing the front-yard frantically making ready for Baby and In-Law visitors. Hours passed and Elaine and I wondered where my phone was as we were out in the yard / cull-de-sac looking all over.

Turns out I dropped it off my belt-clip and ran over it with my lawn-mower and it flung it out into the cul-de-sac/street. :evil

The display doesn't work, but I can send/receive calls. :D My last Samsung cell made it through the laundry wash cycle - worked fine after a new E-Bay battery and a few hours of Hi-Heat Hair-Dryer treatment.

Doug,

How can you swing a $149 Treo 650? Mine certainly wasn't $149 NIB from the Cingular store.:(

I have until tomorrow to cancel the upgrade.

Ronald

Very complicated

Go to Cingular.com and shop for new phone

Refurbs listed there as of yesterday

Wow that's cheap. My Verizon Pocket PC was $600 by the time I accessorized it....and that's with a corporate discount.

Wasn't this thread about Ronald, self proclaimed man of danger??? With all the suspension mods good old Ronald will be able to negotiate those twisty canyons out by his place. The new found stability of his L will make it easier for him to operate the Treo while driving.

Thats a lot of jack to drop in one post, ROnald. What corner are you slinging from these days?

Tom,

The farm-truck rake, stature, ride and braking of my stock '02 L just wore on me that I had to do something with it. It wasn't bad, but I knew that it could be MUCH better.

Elaine was a little upset with me that I was surfing TALON and checking email with my Treo last night during Lamaze class. :evil

Garett,

Currently, I'm contracting directly south across Legacy from you and Sandman/Andy - the big white / blue-glass bldg. - shouldn't mention the corp.

Suspension mods are NOTHING compared to a kid hitting the ground, trust me.

Come on Ronald, an L feeling like a farm truck? That might work on the wife but I know better than that. That's like saying my truck rides like a truck. Don't make me have to spend money.

What is she complaining about? It not like you have to breath and push when the time comes..:evil

Finally, we got it all put on with the exception of the caster/camber bolts and shocks, as I'm holding off on that.

Microsuck (Andrew) you rock, Dude! I'm sore as hell serving as your mechanic's helper, yesterday. :crying: :D

I'll get better pics as lighting permits. This was on my lunch break, today. I'm liking that stance.

Now I just need an alignment job.

Thanks, fellers! No Barbie Doll included with the EBC's Beau. :D

That's the 3", Tex, keeping with stock leafs. I'm giving the new coils up front time to settle, etc. before I get the caster/camber/alignment done.

Did you measure before you dropped it and after?

Brook,

Your Roush front-end looks to be lower than my Hotchkis front-end. I like that overall rake, though.:burnout:

I'm wondering if this is a matter of "seasoned" coils at different spring-rates or what? I'm hoping my coils will settle down.

Yours looks just fine, I wouldn't worry about it. :tu:

And are you gonna 'fess up?? :d You do know, "confession is good for the soul"... :D

Here she is several weeks after surgery. Tracks fine down the straights and is MUCH firmer while pushing turns and stopping fast!

Front Left: 30 3/4"
Front Right: 30 1/2" (persistant slow leak in tire)
Rear Left 32"
Rear Right 32"

I'm half tempted to try the 4" drop in back, but I don't want want to run into drive-shaft, shock/heim geometry issues.

Where are the before numbers?

my2002lightning
04-11-2006, 09:18 PM
Brook,

Now that I take a 2x look at them, they seem sort of odd. I have been having issues with slow tire leaks, though. These are bonestock '02 L ride heights on Toyos, though.

LF - 31 7/8"
RF - 32 1/2"
LR - 32 5/8"
RR - 31 3/4"

I need to take the L to Discount Tire and have them take a look at my tires.

Where are the before numbers?

Something's not right with those numbers, Ronald.. but then again, you measured from the lip to the ground, not the lip to the rim, like you should've. :nono:

It looks good. If you want to try the lower rear settings, let me know and we can do it.

So you gonna tell everyone about the lugnuts?? :d
