Scottsdale is ten times the auction that Palm Beach is. Your statement is biased and unfounded. Enjoy Florida for personal vacations, but look to Scottsdale for the worlds greatest classic cars.

Like I said, I'd rather be in Palm Beach than Arizona.... no matter what I was doing. I didn't mention the auction being better did I ? I've been to Arizona, you been to Palm Beach ? It sounds like your statement is unfounded. I've been to both places, Palm Beach was much more pleasant and enjoyable all things considered. :throw:

As probably anyone that has ever done a rebuild or restoration can tell you, a person can buy one already done for pennies on the dollar compared to doing it yourself. There were some great mid-50s Chevrolets yesterday that were selling for little more than the cost of the paint & interior mods.

i love the '40, '41 trucks. anything '40 ford is my favorite ('38-'41 willys also). running a close second are the '33, '34 coupes (zz top car).

There are cars going for paint and interior prices again today.
I think that this auction has lots of bargains.
I might have to go visit my sister next year (lives close) and attend.
Lots of $50k classic restored cars, or you could have a loaded 2007 4x4 Tahoe?
GTOs, Novas, Corvettes, Camaros, etc. It's killing me.

Another good deal, IMHO.
Prices are getting a little higher now though, last 3 Vettes across the stage have had Texas tags on them.

I know it sold for $43,500. but on the web site it shows $46,900 after the buyers premium! What is that? Did some Dude pay that much to BJ for the privilege of buying that truck?

Yep - Thats how BJ pays for the red head and the tent - 8% I think on the buyer and 8% on the seller

so none of you guys bid on either of Dr Phil's 2 cars ? The F360 or Porsche?
He was selling them to make room for a Z06. what about the 3 Chip Foose items? A custom motorcycle, an '05 custom Mustang, an a '06 custom convertible Mustang. The '05 was the BF Goodrich car used in the ads in Muscle Mustangs I know of. The ad car sold for $75g's, the 'vert sold for $79g's, and the bike sold for $80g's.

I watched that one being sold.
It was VIN #3 and all profit was going to charity. It kind of stalled around the high 200k mark and one bid was only 2000 higher than the last at that point. Right when it seemed like it was going to end, a phone bidder joined and the car went up like 300k more.
