I installed my chip on Tuse. night. Tonight, about 50 mi. later, when I try to drive the truck dies. It will idle but when I put it in gear it will die or run poorly. My question is if anyone else has has this problem. If there is a quick cure please let me know.

I used a JDM temperary chip for a few mounths and it would fall out and die. So if your connections are not making contact it will die. Cleaning those contacts must be careful not to clean too much or too little. When you start cleaning brass its time to stop. Hope this helps, its poss losing conn. Check that out and see what happens.:tu:

When I first put my origianl Diablo chip in mine died a few times...all the connections were solid.
Turned out to be low octaine gas...make sure you have 93 in the tank:D

I haven't pulled the chip yet. I thought I got the contacts clean but maybe I will try again. Thanks for all the input.

Did you modify the PCM bracket per the instructions? Otherwise when you clip it in the chip will push off or have side tension on it.

I pulled the ECM back out and cleaned the contacts again and for now all seems to be well. Thanks again for all the input and advice. See you at Ennis Fri night hoping for the 12's.
