New Battery

Mine didnt go bad yet, but at 4 years old, I wasnt taking chances. So I went and got a new Duralast Gold from Autozone. I think they are supposed to be pretty decent batteries. I was thinking Optima, with a new holder and decided that would be WAY too much overkill. Anyway, when putting it all back together again. I put the battery cover back on.. just wondering if anyone else is that OCAR or is it just me?

No. I would do pretty much the same. The only difference is I would buy a stock replacement from Ford....$85 or so. Other than the bling factor and the knowledge that you have an Optima, there is no benefit of actually buying an Optima....at least the red top. I've heard the yellow top is better for Stereo systems n' stuff....I don't see you rolling that deep with big amps and a pair of 12's. I think you did good.
