Apple has a reputation for being simple, while Microsoft… well, does not. A humorous example can be found on Google Video.
The concept of the video is what Apple’s iPod box would look like if designed by Microsoft. After you watch it, you’ll have to agree.
Many people have been stunned by the amazing realism of the video. As it turns out, this spoof was made by Microsoft! An explanation can be seen here.
It’s reassuring to know that the people at Microsoft can laugh at themselves. There is plenty to laugh about. Microsoft has announced plans to compete with the iPod. I assume that they can’t use this design now. :-)
