A customer gave me a Sharp PC 9030 today. I know it's an old POS (its heavy like the big dictionary at the library) but I was wondering if I could do anything with it. I would need to buy a power supply for about $50 and was wondering if it would be worth that for me to just be able to hook up win xp and run wireless internet just for surfing. I did a google and searched yahoo but only came up with memory upgrades. Looks like you can only upgrade to about 32mb.

With only 32mb ram you're not going to be able to run XP on it, maybe Win98. Do you know what processor it has, HD capacity, etc? If you can squeeze 98 on it, you might be able to run some tuner software, if they have 98 versions.
I tried to find the info via Google, but all I could find was battery vendors. :\

Same question, different laptop. I have an opportunity to buy a Panasonic Toughbook CF-73 pretty cheap. This would be a year old hand-me-down. We use CF-27's and CF-29's in our cars, and they work well.
