I noticed a leak and by the time i got to work the left side lost all 3 bolts and the gasket. The other side 2 bolts loose, and 1 gone.I reccommend lock nuts and or lock washers.Must have been the lack of driven it for a while/good tunes and the Terry hot street tune.:evil

Fiber locking nuts and lock washers.Need a bow and arrow wrench to get the one on top of the flange.

I had to safety wire the turbo flange bolts on my datsun, i used a nice Inconel safety wire. no problems since. although i did end up using a nylock nut on one of them because i dropped the metallock nut somewhere in my shop and couldnt find it. it just smelled for a few days.
Inconel is great for high heat and high corrosion resistance. But stainless will probably work.

Are you guys using the stock gaskets?
I did.
No issues here, but I will check as it has been over 2 years without checking them ever, not even re-torquing initially after a couple of heat cycles as is usually done.
What torque are you using?

They are talking about the collector gaskets not the manifold gaskets.

just have terry put on one of the round magnaflow mufflers from his wild system, or one of the oval single in/out muffler with a decent looking tip and it will sound good and wont be ricey sounding....

and if you dont want the added bling of the big shiny muffler just take some sand paper, scotch bright pad or steel wool and scuff it up and spray it with some black bbq grill paint from homedepot.

Once you have a leak @ your collectors the gasket is toast. The only thing left on mine was the frame of the gasket.I am gone to use the old frame to make some from O aluminum for the future with some JET nuts on the bolts.
