I went and got two tires mounted that I bought from Aggie Michael yesterday. The guy at the shop said that they discontinued Nittos. Has anyone head this? WTF. He also said that the F1's went up and are close to $300 each now. Whats the deal? Toyo Proxies are the only other tire I could think of and they are 235 according to this shop.

Guess Im calling NTB this morning, because tirerack does not have the F'1s or a 295/45/18 listed in their inventory at the moment...

Is Brandt still available at one of the Discount Tire stores, as a hook up? He used to be at the one on Great SW, but I know he moved from there a while back.

Definitely in Ft Worth off McCart/Alta Mesa. I've bought three sets of tires out there since he's moved in the last year.

You take 20 to McCart, go left and take it down about 3.5 miles to Alta Mesa. Take a left at the light and it's right there on the right, impossible to miss.

Its not that Jeff, its the way he is giving the directions. Now if he said go right past the Wallgreens and turn left after Starbucks she would get there no problem.

Anybody try the Hankook's? I like them and a lot of guys on NLOC like em' too. I bought mine for $280 installed (a pair). Considering they will probably just go up in smoke at some point, I think they are a good deal.

I've seen opinions on both sides on the Hankooks.. the biggest issue was that they get kind of greasy easy when smoking them .. have you had that issue? or maybe they have addressed it with a new formulation in the rubber..

I bought a pair for the front a couple of months ago. So far they have been great, but time will tell.

Honestly, i don't know about any problems with them getting greasy because they are on the front. I have regular Nitto's on the back. Those stick pretty good. After I hit 3k I will rotate the tires and find out. At the rate that I've been driving the L that might not be for another year....seriously.
