Well, I watched bump day, boring.
They are really desperate, even dragged out Michael and Al Jr from retirement(slow).
Only 6 competitive cars, rest are fillers.

I watched yesterday and today. Boring indeed.....

Kinda sad to see AJ Foyt play with Robbie Brisco and the one other guy needing a ride to qualify with. Had the car on the grid just sitting there, waiting to be driven. What a dick....:bs

I'm leaning toward Sam Hornish, but I would not be surprized to see Wheldon win it again....and there is no way Danica gets there this year with her car. She was consitently 4-5 mph slower that the top 4 qualifiers during practice...

The whole thing doesn't mean squat anymore... no technical innovation, no advancement, no excitement. What NASCAR would be if everyone would catch a clue and figure out it's just WWE on wheels.

Agree it is WWE on wheels, but it is fun to watch, just like the train wreck last night. Entertaining...at least to me.
I miss watching W2C racing, Speed rarely has it on anymore.

Train wreck is right.. tho demolition derbies are as much fun. ;)

Speed is slowly becoming "CRASHCAR Central", they might as well rename it now and drop all the other racing progamming--I mean, if the NFL can get away with it, why not the good ol' boys??

I watched ChampCar today from Mexico instead.. its a one horse race already just 4 races into the season.. heck, they even have fewer cars running than F1.. just 17 cars in the race..

They have their own version of Danika.. Katherine Legge.. and she isnt a Danica from the looks perspective either.. I remember going to a race in Portland, Or before the split of the two series.. it was great.. if the two dont get back together, both of them will end up losing in the long run and open wheel racing is going to take a huge setback in the US..

Well in spite of all of this doom and gloom, I'm going to go to Indy and watch the race. I'll try and find some underdog to cheer for. Doesn't sound like it will be too hard.

Yeah, look for that pack of 15 cars running 3 abreast and 5 deep... and don't forget to cheer for the pit stops... :d

Took gobs of pictures already. Here's one I had only a moment to snag on the way by. For some reason it seems blurry here. Looks much better on my PC. http://www.svtgalleries.net/gallery/data/500/Danica.JPG

I take back all my previous comments about Indy.
This was a great race.
Hornish, great drive
Marco should have thrown the last block to win the race.
and Michael:tu: :tu:

Agreed.. I watched F1 and then switched over.. I was so :flaming: mad because the F1 race wasnt on Speed this morning.. but was hopeful for Danica. She had an opening late but the timing of her pit stops worked against her again this year.. then at the end, I wanted Michael A to win it since he has led so many laps and never won, prob never will either.. but the kid should have thrown one more block in there and he would have won it..

He followed the safety car too long and the engine overheated to the point of catching on fire.. He was pushing Alonso very hard.. I was proud of him.. Michael ended up 5th.. tied for best finish at Monaco for a driver starting on the last row (pit lane). Been done once before. He had best lap time in the race too.. would have been nice to see he and Fernando duke it out up front.
I think they should take Rubens B out back and kick his butt though.. all he did today was hold up traffic.. they should have black flagged his butt and make his do a drive thru..

oh well,

Agree, on pushing him hard, when they went to the safety car, I switched over to Indy, when I came back Kimi was walking to the pits, no replays. Michael got what he deserved IMHO, that park job in qualifying was pitiful.
