Look what I got my dad for fathers day. Stainless Steel Ruger SuperBlackhawk .44 mag 10 1/2 inch barrel. This thing will shoot thru a car engine at 100yds.

holy fscking sh!t, man... that thing'll knock you down and berate you for being a girly guy!! :eek2:

I had a friend who had a Colt Anaconda .44mag, that mofo was a beast. Not only that, but it had a defect where, if you closed th cylinder just right, it would spontaneously go off. Scared the living sh!t out of me when that happened. :eek2:

Excellent Father's Day present, Adam! :tu: Nothing but respect for the Super Blackhawks and the .44 Rem. Magnum cartridge - very accurate combination.

I've witnessed that combination blow a squirrel in two-pieces out of the top of a 75-80 ft. pecan tree - in practiced hands... off-hand, at that.:tu: Marksmanship "show-off" session.

But, there has been a long-running misconceived notion that a .44 Rem. Magnum round can penetrate an engine block. However, it can sail right through several car-doors and other body panels.

With the .44 Mag. 240 gr. loads, hunters have taken the North American big-game, but it's designed to mushroom and deliver the FPE (ft. lbs. of energy) deep into grizzly/elk/moose/etc. and drop them in their tracks. The .44 Rem. Mag. round just isn't designed for engine-block-busting.

For comparison, my MAK-90 with FMJs can barely punch through a C6 torque converter and shatter some of the fins. A .30-06 shooting soft-points can punch through a little better, but not by much.

Just my findings... BTW, get your finger off that trigger.:evil

That is a great gun. I have a friend with one and I have seriously considered buying one. The only thing that slows me down is the price of the ammo.
